Second Day of School!

I know I'm pathetic! I take pictures for nearly the first week or two. I can't help it they are just so stinkin cute!! Here they are on the second day of school. They each have their own style this year. Kaycie loves skirts and dresses and Kyleigh loves Jeans...Jeans....Jeans!! They loved their First day. They came home with backpacks full of papers for me to sign. I think I should invest in a signature stamp!

The First Day of School!!!

This year both girls are in school. They have been so excited as this day has been approaching. Kyleigh started 2nd grade and Kaycie in morning Kindergarten. Where does the time go???? Seems like they grow so fast!! Kaycie has a wonderful teacher and it is the same one that Kyleigh had in Kindergarten. We are looking forward to meeting Kyleigh's new teacher. I took the day off because I knew there would be tears (mine) ha ha And I wanted to be there to pick them up. So....I'm just waiting for them to get off. Soon I will enjoy the day to myself I'm sure...But for now I'm just counting the minutes till their home!!

Travis and Steph get a new Apartment!!

So...The army has provided Travis, Steph and little Maddy with a new apartment for them to live in while Travis continues his care!! This is so awesome for them because now they have a place to call home and don't have to stay in such a small room at the hospital anymore!! Here is a link of a news story with Travis and Steph and their new home!! It's so cool for them!

I'm ready to come home now!!!

So I was actually adding some pictures of our trip to this blog and the power went out. We made it through our first tornado (and hopefully last) while at my moms in Kentucky. It started raining really hard and the thunder was the loudest I had ever heard! The lightning made it look as if it were daylight. I thought...Wow what a cool storm. Then the wind picked up and shook the windows. I was freaking out at this point I had no clue what was going on but one thing was for sure....I had never seen anything like this! We opened some windows to prevent shattering. We loaded all the kids in one room and waited it out. There was no way we could sleep. My sister Amanda ran with a neighbor to get all the horses in the barn and to be sure they were safe. After an hour it started to let down. The rain continued for the rest of the night but when we woke up...this is what we found.....

I love my seeeeeeestar!!

I had the best time with Amanda. I wish that we lived closer but we definatley made the most of our time together!! We had a lot of fun in Nashville and pretty much decided that the Gibson Guitar Factory was the coolest ever!! We had some fun outside while the girls took some silly pictures of us. Keep in mind the photographers are 5 and 7 so the pictures are a bit blurry. hehe.

Ocean City, Maryland!!!

While we were in DC we decided to go over to Ocean City, Maryland with my aunt and cousins to spend the day at the beach! It was so beautiful and also freezing!! The girls were troopers though and shivered their way through the waves. It was such a fun day!
