Travis and Steph get a new Apartment!!

So...The army has provided Travis, Steph and little Maddy with a new apartment for them to live in while Travis continues his care!! This is so awesome for them because now they have a place to call home and don't have to stay in such a small room at the hospital anymore!! Here is a link of a news story with Travis and Steph and their new home!! It's so cool for them!

I'm ready to come home now!!!

So I was actually adding some pictures of our trip to this blog and the power went out. We made it through our first tornado (and hopefully last) while at my moms in Kentucky. It started raining really hard and the thunder was the loudest I had ever heard! The lightning made it look as if it were daylight. I thought...Wow what a cool storm. Then the wind picked up and shook the windows. I was freaking out at this point I had no clue what was going on but one thing was for sure....I had never seen anything like this! We opened some windows to prevent shattering. We loaded all the kids in one room and waited it out. There was no way we could sleep. My sister Amanda ran with a neighbor to get all the horses in the barn and to be sure they were safe. After an hour it started to let down. The rain continued for the rest of the night but when we woke up...this is what we found.....

I love my seeeeeeestar!!

I had the best time with Amanda. I wish that we lived closer but we definatley made the most of our time together!! We had a lot of fun in Nashville and pretty much decided that the Gibson Guitar Factory was the coolest ever!! We had some fun outside while the girls took some silly pictures of us. Keep in mind the photographers are 5 and 7 so the pictures are a bit blurry. hehe.

Ocean City, Maryland!!!

While we were in DC we decided to go over to Ocean City, Maryland with my aunt and cousins to spend the day at the beach! It was so beautiful and also freezing!! The girls were troopers though and shivered their way through the waves. It was such a fun day!

World War II Memorial

Here are some pics from the WW2 Memorial. We stopped here on the way to the Cemetary. It was so beautiful and had a lot of fun checking things out and taking pictures!

Arlington National Cemetary- Memorial Day!

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day!! We went to the Arlington National Cemetary and took a long tour ride through the whole cemetary. WOW It was much bigger than I expected. I knew it would be big but it was huge! The tour guide was pretty informative and we got to get off at the Tomb of the Unknown soldier to watch the Changing of guard ceremony. That was incredible! They were so detailed and protective. It was a great expierience!
