Update: Travis had surgery today.

Hey everyone. Travis had his surgery today! He got the pins out of his pelvis! The docs say that hispelvis is very sturdy and strong. He now has the clearence to start sitting up, and standing up! This will be a slow process, but at least he can do it now! The docs worked on his backside wound, and it had alittle problem. The rotated flap of skin has healed, but the tissue underneath didn't heal yet. So, the docs had to put another wound vac in it, and he will have to go to surgery twice a week again. That is such a downside, but I think it will only be about less than a month for the wound to heal up. So,mostly, things are wonderful, just a little speedbump!

Update: Surgery tomorrow for Travis

Hi everybody. Sorry I haven't written for so long, there has just not been anything happening! Travis has been in bed, just healing! But, tomorrow,Wednesday, he is going into surgery to get his pinsout!!!! Once he gets them out, he will still have to heal for a while, but now the docs will be able to address his other fractures, like his back. It is such a wonderful, long awaited blessing to get these pins out! It has been 3 months already! If you all could say an extra prayer tonight for him, we would grately appreciate it! We love you all, and are eternally grateful for your long lasting love and support!
